SCHEDULE ALERT - Patchogue Location ... Tonight our classes will take place at the Holtsville Ecology Site, on Buckley Road in Holtsville, NY. Look for Mr. Mazz on the small open grass area near the playground. Taekwondo Tigers can expect to start at around 5:45 PM, and Karate Kids students may join in as they arrive. Also, coming up is the Mazzarella Family vactaion, so classes will not be held on Monday, 8/31/2015 or Thursday, 9/3/2015. Classes will also be cancelled Monday, 9/7/2015 for Labor Day. Summer Update! I know many of our students have been enjoying time off this Summer, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and so on. As such, we are having Summer Vacation in our HAMPTON BAYS location. There will be NO REGULAR CLASSES in our Hampton Bays Location ONLY for the rest of the summer. Classes in Hampton Bays will resume in the Fall on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015. Any Hampton Bays students are welcome to join us in our Patchogue Location for the Summer at no charge. Our PATCHOGUE Location will continue with a regular class schedule this Summer, with classes on Monday and Thursday as normal. THIS WEEK at Mazzarella Martial Arts! Our Nerf Wars over the past few weeks were a blast! Everyone who came had a great time playing our different Nerf scenarios. Let us know if you'd like us to host another Nerf Wars night soon! SCHEDULE ALERT - BOTH Locations! Coming up TONIGHT, Monday March 9th, in our PATCHOGUE location, the postponed Testing and Graduation will finally take place! Taekwondo Tigers will Test and Graduate during their own regular class at 5:30 PM. There will be open floor for practice at 6:00 PM, after which the older kids' Testing and Graduation will take place promptly at 6:15 PM. TOMORROW, Tuesday March 10th, Testing and Graduation will take place in our HAMPTON BAYS location with a slightly modified schedule. Those Taekwondo Tigers who are eligible will test and graduate during a class session at 6:30 PM. Karate Kids Testing and Graduation will take place directly following at 7:00 PM. Adult students can expect to have their normal class tomorrow at 7:30 PM. We will be back to a normal schedule in BOTH locations starting Wednesday, March 11th. This Wednesday will be the first of two Nunchuck November Training Sessions, this one in Hampton Bays from 6:45 PM to 7:30 PM. The second Nunchuck November Training Session will take place in our Patchogue location on Monday, November 24th from 6:45 PM to 7:30 PM. 

Our Holiday Closings have been updated both on Facebook and under "Events Calendar" on our website! We will be closed from Tuesday, November 25th through Thursday, November 27th for Thanksgiving. We will be closed Wednseday, December 24th and Thursday, December 25th for Christmas. We will be closed Wednseday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st for New Years. Happy Holidays!

The big news this week is the upcoming Testing and Graduation in our HAMPTON BAYS location. On Wednesday, November 5th, we'll be holding an open practice session at 6:00 PM for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, after which all students who have earned three stripes on their belts will be invited to test and graduate to the next belt rank.

Testing and Graduation for our PATCHOGUE location takes place next Monday, November 10th.

We're so excited for our Wear-Your-Costume to Class Days coming up this week! On Wednesday, October 29th, we'll have some Halloween fun in our HAMPTON BAYS location, and on Thursday, October 30th, we get to do it all over again (for double the fun) at our PATCHOGUE location. Don't forget to bring a friend to share in the fun!

Trick-or-treating can be a day (and night) of fun and adventure for kids of all ages. Because we need to make sure that we stay safe on Halloween, here are a few Halloween Safety Tips to keep in mind on your trick-or-treat candy quest!

1 - Make sure you can see properly and breathe OK through any mask you wear!

2 - Make sure all children are ALWAYS accompanied by and adult!

3 - Make sure everyone is easily visible after dark. Add reflective tape or lights to dark costumes, especially when trick-or-treating after dark. Take a flashlight!

4 - Make sure to stay in familiar neighborhoods and only trick-or-treat at well-lit homes.

5 - Make sure to walk only on sidewalks, where possible, and take care when crossing streets.

6 - Make sure to BE AWARE of your surroundings, and use common sense! Many dangerous situations can be avoided just by being careful to watch out for potential hazards and by not pushing your luck. Have a safe and fun Halloween!
